a journey of a starless night

on sunday, me and my family went to klang to celebrate raya haji with my father's family
get ready at 1.30pm and left our home at 2pm
i was the driver. hehe
that was my first time driving the car while my mother sat at the back with my sister
and that was my first time driving to somewhere far
and that too, was my first time driving in highway
hahaha
it was raining all the way
the speedometer was not functioning so i just pressed the pedal :P
mother was not sleeping because she afraid i might get lost
she could not blame me because i haven't gone to klang from johor for quite some time
i did not the way..hehe

arrived at 7pm
that's when we had sambal tumis udang for dinner
sunggoh sedap *nyam*nyam*

sat in the living room and watched tv
my aunt cooked the dish for tomorrow
at around 12am, the supper was served
we had one round of ketupat, nasi impit, kuah kacang, ayam masak kicap and lodeh
after that, went straight to the room and had a very goodnight sleep
hehe

woke up the next morning, watched tv and waited for the males in family to come back from surau
once they were back, we had our breakfast
later, we all lepak2 watching tv and lulled to sleep

woke up in the afternoon, had lunch
and the cycle continued
lepak2 until lulled

it was raining. we didn't go out from the house and nobody came as well
so we spent our raya by eating and sleeping
a very good combination :P

last saturday, i went out for movie
watched TWILIGHT, window shopping and ate at danga bay (mahal gila~~)
went home at 7pm

visited my neighbour
we had some chit chat and laughed
after that we did poco poco for 30 minutes..huhu

my mother, my sister, me, my neighbour with her 2 daughters and another girl from my neighbourhood

they continued with aerobik ala zapin
i didn't join because i was sleepy
hehe

i took a 8pm bus from kota bharu to johor bahru
my classmate sent me to bus station with my other 2 classmates
reached there at 6.30pm
i was so hungry because i hadn't take my dinner yet
had dinner at the canteen there
i took sup tulang and daging goreng in little amount and paid rm5
damn expensive!
huh~

went to surau and waited for maghrib
had a chat with my classmates while waiting for the bus to arrive

7.55pm, i climbed up into the bus and took my seat,8C
slept when the bus reached pasir puteh
and i slept all the way to johor bahru
12 hours of sleeping and sitting

i was almost fell down when i stood because i could feel my legs cramped
my knees hurt and my calves became 'hardened'
i just stood there and waited till i regained my balance

paid 20cents and entered washroom
did my business and went buying breads for breakfast

waited for another bus to pontian, climbed into it and waited till it reached my hometown

my mother fetched me at bus station
we had breakfast(once again?) together at cik ngah's
i ordered laksa johor
i've been craving for laksa johor since months ago
hehe

without changing my clothes, i lied on the couch and slept
hehe

yes, i am a heavy sleeper
:D

in the specialist clinic. my feet were hurting me. my friends were inside one of the rooms there observing the procedure. i was taking my own sweet time to snap photos after assisting a minor oral surgery :)

my group was having an OT session yesterday. had one case or minor oral surgery. i offered myself to be the assistant. my second time. yippie yeay~~~

i was struggling to wear the surgical glove :P

me helping the surgeon to take out the wisdom tooth. he's my academic advisor. he's super nice. hehe. my job was to hold the suction and irrigate the incision area.

they are my colleagues. mereka sangat kepoh :D

that is my supervisor for that day. something happened when i tried to insert the instrument into the patient's mouth. she suddenly said, " biar doktor jela cabut." i was like, "huh?"
but doctor said, " takpe. jangan takut. biarla dia cabut. saya ada kat sini."
aku buat muka tak puas hati kat patient. nasib dia tak nampak.

while trying to take out the tooth. only root left. no crown.

walked lazily to class this morning
still felt sleepy
had a cup of nescafe in my hand (yes, it is a must to have a cup every morning or i will sleep in the class)

reached lecture hall at 8.35am
luckily, the presentation hadn't started yet
haha

went to clinic for morning session
had a patient
she wanted to remove her lower right back tooth because of frequent toothache

when i looked into her mouth, i could see a tooth with big hole
presented the case to the lecturer
oh, before that
we had to wait for the lecturer for almost 1 hour

he asked me to take radiograph of the tooth
interpretation: the tooth after it had already moved forward making the space for removal of that 'hole-y' tooth became smaller

he asked me to proceed first
i gave LA to the patient, waited for few minutes and started to elevate the tooth
it was hard because there was no stable place to support the force
once i got grip the tooth, i tried removing it and

o oh...fractured crown

called the lecturer and he asked me to remove the retained root using the elevator
coupland-->failed
warrick james-->failed
cryer-->failed

before that, he tried to split the root into two parts
the idea was to remove the root one by one
after he cut the tooth, he asked me to elevate again
i tried but could not proceed
i was afraid i could do more harm to the retained root

i looked at the clock
gosh! 12pm
i started the procedure at 10.30am
my colleagues managed to remove 2 to 3 teeth
aku pulak, sebatang pun x keluar lagi

doctor asked me to tell the staff in specialist clinic to lay out instruments for minor oral surgery
make it short, the procedure finished at 1.40pm
discharged the patient with a list of medication to take and tidied up my working place
walked out from the clinic at 2pm and i had afternoon session at 2pm

i only ate mini murtabak and custard cakes for lunch
i haven't take proper lunch for few days already....

can you imagine how long did i spend to take a tooth?
it was a complicated case by the way
i didn't expect it to be that hard

and what made my day more tiring was the air conditioner was not functioning
it was raining heavily outside but we felt so hot in the clinic
i was wearing knitted blouse because i thought it was going to be cold the whole day
turned out the opposite
i was sweating from the moment i entered the clinic until i walked out from it

and that was my story for today

there was no electricity last night and it was raining heavily with thunder
i slept in my friends' room until 1am
went back to my room planning to do some revision
just when i started to surf the net, the whole building turned dark
it was around 2am when it happened
waited until 3am then i called security department
asked them to come to my hostel building to repair whatever needed to be repaired
the guard told me that entire campus was having the same problem too
TNB had been told about the problem and he asked me to lock my door and just waited till they solve the problem
i watched lord of the ring on my bed until 4am when the electricity was restored
by that time, i just didn't have the mood to do my revision and continued my good night sleep
woke up at 7.45am when i had class at 8.15am
