a journey of a starless night

minor oral surgery....again
yesterday i had 2 patients requested to take out their teeth
both were upper back teeth
i never take out front teeth
mmm....

the first patient is a doctor here in HUSM
i was afraid to examine him
segan sebenarnya :P
overerupted 18 causing trauma to the mucosa
took an OPG (oh, he's a radiologist. so i don't have to interpret the radiograph to him :P)

i took out the tooth with the help of my supervisor (of course..)
i don't have enough energy to do extraction yesterday
my shoulders and feet were aching...
huhu

second patient was a 48 year old gentleman
complained of pain and swelling of upper left back tooth
whooaaa~~
we expected a difficult extraction because the cortical bone is thick
thicker from other patients i've seen
wayyy thicker

however, i gave it a try
pakcik tu takut jarum la pulak..
nasib la relax je
cuma mata kejap2 bukak kejap2 tutup
huu

i tried to loosen the tooth socket but failed
my supervisor gave a try but failed too
suddenly he received a call
he had to go to operation theatre because there was an emergency
aiyakk!!
called another doctor to replace him
meanwhile, i kept on trying to loosen the socket

then she came, she took over my place
when she tried to remove the tooth using forcep, she accidentally fractured the crown
masa nak keluarkan forcep tu boleh pulak tangan dia yang tengah menggenggam sepenuh hati terkena kat dahi aku
sakit dowh...
macam kena tumbuk

she decided to do surgery
the surrounding bone has to be cut
aku pun tolak la troli surgery kit tu dari klinik pakar...

the patient had been given 4 cartridges of LA during the whole procedure
i know, it is painful
after hours of intense moment, the tooth was taken out in 2 pieces
alhamdulillah...
pakcik tu pun tepuk2 tangan aku and doktor tu

prescribed him analgesics to relieve pain, antibiotics and mouthwash
sorry pakcik...

yesterday was really a long day for me
entered clinic at 9.30am, signed out at 4.45pm
then i went to specialist clinic because my CFCS patient had an appointment
waited with them there
that's when i realized i've been standing for almost 8 hours....
went to my room at 6.00pm
